The mug is of Pikachu (i think thats how you spell it ) he is a Pokemon. I remember this character from the famous tradable cards and show. It reminds me of my childhood and watching my cousins trading cards. It makes me feel happy and missing my childhood. -Enjoy your summer!
I was just commenting on Alicia's photo of her dog (how it takes on a human quality). It is an interesting aspect of contemporary life that we put cute faces on things like mugs. Something so ubiquitous and otherwise forgettable can become something precious or collectable. Check out Japanese artist Marakami. He uses anime and other pop-images in his work. You may like him...you may hate him.
When I look at this picture I see a Pikachu cup. It makes me feel reminiscent because it reminds me of when I use to play pokemon and watch it when I was younger. When I close my eyes I remember the bright yellow color of the cup! I think this is a very creative picture! :)
